The chase for the lowest price - a "trap" when buying an apartment

Location, location, location - is a sacred formula with magical value that is guided all over the world to purchase real estate, except for us Moldovans.

Price, price, price - is the mantra of Moldovans when buying a home, it is understandable why… We are not very interested in comfort and quality of life, the important thing for a lot of us is that we bought a thing at a "super price"!

We often run away from the lowest price and after buying an apartment, we realize that we have not taken into account several aspects, which will cost us too much or can not be changed.

"The lowest price trap" - what to pay attention to

  • Poor quality of repair (hidden defects)
  • Unpleasant odors
  • Low water pressure in the apartment
  • Heating type (autonomous or centralized)
  • Maintenance costs (communal services, security, taxes, etc.)
  • Obstruction of the view (new constructions in front of the block)
  • Noise and dust from overcrowded roads
  • Bad or undeveloped roads / sidewalks
  • Time lost daily in traffic on the way to and from home
  • Lack of parking spaces
  • Who are the neighbors? )))

Not only the apartment itself is important! The adjacent infrastructure, the entourage, is important as well. We all want to live in a clean and well-appointed, environmentally friendly and safe place for us and our family - all this influences the price of a home.

We buy a house where we have to live for at least 5-10 years, or maybe our whole life, and the economy of 2000 - 3000 euros to the detriment of our long-term comfort is not a rational choice.

Be informed, cautious - the price is important but the quality of life is much more important.
