If you sold a real estate in 2018, you are required to file your declaration of income tax up on May 2, 2019.

The declaration of income tax can be submitted both electronically and on paper.

How can the income statement be submitted?

  • if you own an electronic or mobile signature, you can file the income statement in electronic format using the "Electronic Declaration" service: https://servicii.fisc.md/
  • you can file your income statement on paper, at any tax department (based on your identity card or the "Quick Statement" system)
  • you can send the income statement filled in by a registered letter to the tax office you are serving.

How can the income tax be verified and paid

There are 2 ways you can check the income tax and what is the amount to be paid. With just a few clicks you can check the tax obligations you have to the state.

Checking the income tax payment on the www.servicii.fisc.md

  1. visit www.servicii.fisc.md
  2. you must log in by clicking on the "Login" button
  3. click ”Log M-Pass”
  4. select the authentication method
  5. access the SIA "Current Account of the Taxpayer" or SIA "Verification of the Tax Obligation" service.

Checking the income tax payment on the www.mpay.gov.md

  1. visit www.mpay.gov.md
  2. click  ”Choose the service”
  3. click ”The Income Tax”
  4. complete the Personal IDNP, then you need to enter the verification code and accept the MPay Terms and Conditions.
  5. click "Find declaration nr./IDNP"
  6. choose to download - to view and pay tax online

IMPORTANT

The income tax on the sale of a real estate in2018 is calculated differently according to the following periods:

  • the first period (1 January - 30 September) - 9% of the capital increase
  • the second period (1 October - 31 December) - 2.4% of the capital increase
